The short version: xHelios collects nothing. No account, no analytics, no advertising, no crash-reporting SDK — and the app makes no network requests of its own.
Data we collect
None. The developer does not collect, store, transmit, sell or share any personal data, usage data, identifiers or diagnostics from users of the app.
What the app reads on your device
To do its job, xHelios reads system-wide performance counters provided by macOS:
- Aggregate CPU load (
host_statistics) - Aggregate memory usage (
vm_statistics64) - Aggregate network interface byte counters (
getifaddrs)
These are system-wide totals. The app does not read the contents of your network traffic, your files, keystrokes, clipboard, location, camera or microphone, nor any per-application or per-website activity. All readings stay in memory on your Mac, are kept only for a short rolling window used to draw the in-app graph, and are discarded when the app quits. Nothing is written to a server.
Preferences
Your display settings — which metrics are shown and in which format — are stored locally using the standard macOS preferences system. They never leave your device.
Third parties
The app bundles no third-party libraries, SDKs or trackers. No data is shared with anyone, because none is collected.
If you download the app from the Mac App Store, Apple may collect information about that transaction under its own policies. The developer receives only anonymised, aggregate sales and crash reports from Apple, which cannot identify individual users.
This website
xhelios.app is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, embeds no analytics and loads no third-party scripts or fonts. The hosting provider may keep standard server access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page) for security and reliability purposes.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and, since it collects no data, it collects no data from children either.
Your rights
Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. As no personal data is collected or stored, there is nothing to access, correct or delete. You may contact the developer at any time with questions.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
